If not properly addressed this drought may cause major devastation within our landscapes, vegetation, and ecosystems. However, there are many proven methods and effective water conservation habits that we can all practice to combat this drought.

Here are some easy ways to conserve water:

  • Filling the bathtub halfway or less.

  • Reducing shower times by 10-15 minutes.

  • Fixing any leaks from your sinks, faucets, toilets, or sprinklers.

  • Installing drip irrigation for trees, shrubs, and flowers.

  • Watering your landscape in early mornings or late at night.

  • Only washing full loads of laundry.

While there are more tips and tricks to utilize in order to save water, the methods listed above have been proven to reduce water usage per household by up to 20% per month.
