Attention all Kaufman County FWSD 1D residents,
The KCFWD 1-D Board of Directors have enlisted the help of Open Space Development, a land and park development company based in Lewisville, TX, to clear 32 acres of dense vegetation. This task will be undertaken by a large herd of goats, managed by professionals, starting the last week in March. The goal is to clear the impacted waterway in an eco-friendly manner, avoiding the use of heavy machinery and harmful chemicals. The goats will begin their work west of Misty Hollow Ct and progress eastward, concluding north of Prairie Rose Dr. The project is anticipated to take approximately two weeks to complete.
